ICEX has promoted the internationalization of strategic sectors in the U.S. through a Business Meeting held in Houston, Texas.

A total of 45 Spanish companies from industries such as energy, aerospace, life sciences, and infrastructure traveled to Houston to strengthen Spain’s presence in this key market.

For WIVI Vision, it was a true pleasure to take part in this remarkable event, being selected to represent our sector and connect with outstanding U.S. and Spanish companies. Special thanks to Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, for presenting WIVI Vision to leading health and vision institutions.

We are also especially grateful to Ángeles Moreno Bau, Spanish Ambassador to Washington, and María Jesús Fernández, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Commercial Office in Chicago, for their support in promoting WIVI Vision, introducing us to key organizations, and helping us gain visibility with U.S. institutions.

Dona TIC Awards: Technology and Female Talent

The Impact Social Cup is much more than a competition; it’s a learning experience, a source of inspiration, and a place for unique connections where companies from different sectors can showcase the impact they have on society.

WIVI Vision has made it this far thanks to an incredible team, the jury who recognized our potential, and a clear vision: to make visual health care accessible to all and improve people’s lives.

First, we were selected as semifinalists in the ‘Well-being’ category; then, we became finalists in our category, and finally, we won the 4th award!

We still lack words to describe what it has been like to be part of this great event. A truly international summit, with over 1,000 women from 74 countries in an atmosphere of collaboration, inspiration, and unique energy.

We feel very fortunate to have been able to contribute and raise awareness about vision and technology topics, explaining WIVI Vision with the presentation “Enterprise Building Across Borders,” moderated by the excellent Tess Mateo alongside great professionals such as Lisa Brunet and Ninna Granucci.
